Tour begins and ends in Uyuni (it is possible to drop-off some passengers in Hito Cajon on the 3rd day around noon).

Entrance ticket to Isla Incahuasi costs 30 Bs (5 USD approx) and to Eduardo Avaroa Reserve costs 150Bs (22 USD approx), we advise you to additionally take 10 USD in local currency for other expenses.

Uyuni – Salar de Uyuni – Coquesa
Now we are inside the magnificent Salar de Uyuni, on our way we will observe the “Ojos de Agua” (Water Eyes), are holes on the surface of the salt plain, inside which the brine (salt saturated water) located under the superficial crust bubbles up. Arrival at the Playa Blanca Hotel which is built of salt blocks, the general construction is very rustic and since it’s settled in the middle of the Salar it has a unique attractiveness.
We will drive towards Incahuasi Island located 102 Km. from Uyuni village. It stands in the center of the salt flat, and it is the highlight of today’s trip due to the stunning flora and fauna unique in the world, we will make a short hike to the top of the island to enjoy the wonderful landscape. Then we will have some time at the Salar de Uyuni to take beautiful pictures and if you want some funny ones too.
Later we continue our trip driving north towards the hotel to enjoy the natural spectacle of colors of the sunset. We will overnight in Tambo Coquesa Hotel, located in the town of the same name.
*During rainy season, due to the flood of the salt flat:
– the accommodation will be in Uyuni or San Pedro de Quemes
– the visits to the attractions inside the salt flat might be suspended without pervious notice

Departure around 6 am, today we will visit Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve, on the way we will visit the Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree), a very particular eolic formation in the heart of Siloli Desert at 4.600 m.a.s.l.
Departure around 6 am, today we will visit Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve, on the way we will visit the Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree), a very particular eolic formation in the heart of Siloli Desert at 4.600 m.a.s.l.We get into the Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve, to get close to the highlight of the day, the color lagoons, we begin the visit at the beautiful Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada), which receives its name from the reddish colored waters (especially in winter), caused by the presence of “plankton”, a microscopic algae of the specie called Dunaliella Salina.
We continue to Sol de Mañana, where we can observe the bubbling mud “fumaroles” emerge from the depths of the earth. Then we drive through Dali’s Desert (the name was given because it resembles a painting of Salvador Dali, the Spanish painter). Later we stop again at Laguna Verde in the foothills of Licancabur Volcano, this lagoon has a surface of more than 17 Km2 of salt water with an elevated content of magnesium, arsenic, lead and calcium carbonate, giving this lagoon a brilliant emerald green color.We are very close with the Bolivian-Chilean border of “Hito Cajón”, we will wait a few minutes until our trip partners which continue to San Pedro de Atacama-Chile make the migration procedures (the transfer Hito Cajón – San Pedro de Atacama is not included in the price). Before we start our return drive to Uyuni we will enjoy a quick refreshing bath at the Polques hot springs.
The return trip to Uyuni takes around 6 hours, we will pass by the great Valley of the Rocks and the nice town of “San Cristobal”. Arrival to Uyuni at 6 pm approximately.
